My favorite thing about colored mascara is that it makes my eyes pop. I have really dark brown eyes…they almost look black. And while I do love my eye color + eye shape I also love to dress them up a little. This is my first mascara ever…from Jordana + I love it. This was in my Cherry Culture order + the online color is true to the actual shade. So I will be rockin’ pretty bright blue lashes at least for the next couple of months.
I’m not too much of a fan of traditional mascara colors. I love to swipe on bright royal blues, deep burgundy, shimmering brown + nearly any shade of purple hues as often as I can find one that I like.
So here is my casual Saturday eotd. I used a Stila palette that I will be sharing later this week but this post is really all about the mascara.
And speaking of bright colors I went bikini shopping last night! I was pretty excited but the stores were so crowded, guess I kind of forgot about the holiday. But anyway I tweeted this

last night + was really only going to walk away with one but could not decide on which mix n match set to get so I bought them both.
above: tan + white print top paired with dark tan bottoms
above: bright purple twisted top paired with mint colored bottoms
These came as separates + I put them together. And as far as the prices go these were very inexpensive. I believe the bright purple top was $5, the bottoms were about $16 each + the tan top was less than $15. So I guess this is what my Summer forecast is going to look like. My kiddos will be out of school for the Summer early next month + they think we need to take up residence at our local beach…it’s less than 10 minutes away so we may just do exactly that!
